To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally express my disappointment and frustration regarding the service I recently received for my 2019 Chevrolet Silverado. On May 31, I brought my truck to your dealership for three specific services: Engine oil and filter change. Transmission fluid and filter service. Diagnosis and repair of a recurring "Service Parking Brake" issue. At the time of drop-off, I clearly explained that whenever the Service Parking Brake message appeared, I would lose the ability to engage or disengage the electronic parking brake. I was informed that a diagnostic fee would be required, which I agreed to pay. After your diagnosis, I was told the parking brake actuator was the cause of the problem. Based on your professional recommendation, I authorized the repair and paid the invoice in full. Unfortunately, the exact same problem returned the very same day I picked up the vehicle. That Friday evening, I was stranded for approximately three hours at a gas station because the parking brake would not release. After disconnecting the negative battery terminal and waiting, I was finally able to get the vehicle moving again. I immediately attempted to contact the dealership. No one returned my calls. The following day, Saturday, the problem occurred again, leaving me stranded for an additional two hours. Once again, no meaningful assistance or callback was provided despite multiple attempts to contact the dealership through phone calls, voicemail messages, and your text messaging system. On Monday, I was finally instructed to bring the vehicle back Tuesday morning at 8:00 AM. I arrived as requested and once again explained the situation in detail. However, throughout the day I received no updates. By approximately 4:00 PM, nobody had contacted me regarding the status of my vehicle. I had to call myself just to obtain information. The following day was no different. I made multiple calls and received little to no communication. Eventually, I was informed that additional charges would apply for reprogramming a module. This was completely unacceptable. The vehicle was being returned for the exact same issue that I had already paid your dealership to diagnose and repair. I had already paid for the diagnostic process and the recommended repair. Any additional work required because the original diagnosis failed should have been handled under warranty and without attempting to charge me again. What is even more disappointing is that after all of this, the Service Parking Brake warning returned yet again immediately after I picked up the vehicle. At this point: I paid for a diagnostic procedure. I paid for the repair recommended by your technicians. I lost multiple days without my vehicle. I spent several hours stranded at gas stations. I repeatedly had to chase updates because communication was virtually nonexistent. I was asked to pay additional money for a problem that was never resolved. Most importantly, I still have the exact same issue today. Now is worse because even the engine light is coming on From my perspective, this does not reflect a proper diagnostic process. It appears that parts are being replaced based on assumptions rather than a conclusive root-cause analysis. A professional diagnosis should identify the actual source of the failure, not simply replace components and hope the problem disappears. I trusted your dealership because I expected factory-trained technicians, professional communication, and accurate troubleshooting. Instead, I have spent significant time, money, and effort and remain with an unreliable vehicle and the same unresolved problem. I am extremely disappointed with the level of service I have received and hope management takes this matter seriously.

Great Experience: 8/2/23 - Drove 22 miles from Cornelius, NC to get price without significant Dealer markups and un-needed packages. Purchased 2023 Trailblazer for my young daughter from salesman Brad. He was professional, very knowledgeable of vehicle and responsive to both me & daughter. Immediately available at scheduled appointment times. Listened to what we wanted and had car available for ready access. Reviewed standard and trim level features and answered our questions with clear knowledgable and accurate responses. Presented some options but no pressure whatsoever to up-sale or add options. He and Finance guy were very accommodating to our unique payment and finance needs and at a great rate. Based upon our needs, Brad even came in the next day (on his day off) to ensure everything finalized rapidly and without issues. Additionally, he sent followup text 1 day following to ensure daughter satisfied and happy with her new car. Would highly recommend buying from this Dealership and Brad.

Disappointed at the service department. We drove our truck in for a squealing noise in the rear of the engine. We thought the noise may have been related to the transmission that was just replaced a few months prior. We were notified by The service department that we needed to purchase a rebuild for $7100 or a new engine for $10000. They said the motor was blown up. We drove it to the dealership, no smoking, no overheating, nothing but the noise. I picked it up and drove it to a small shop and they diagnosed the noise as being bad lifters. I had it fixed for $2100 and the truck runs perfect. Now we are really wondering if we needed the transmission that they said we needed. Shady service writer, technicians and service manager that lets this deception continue.

Made an appointment online very easy showed up on time took an hour and a half to change oil another hour for a camera recall service dept was very unorganized truck settings were completely changed side mirror was folded in

I don't recommend buying anything from Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet. I was just trying to negotiate a truck over the phone and by text with their Salesman Chris. They have one price and are not willing to negotiate any further. This is the first dealership I've ever ran across that does not negotiate prices.

We will never take a car back to Earnhardt’s to be worked on! Was told that numerous things were wrong with my car and was given an estimate to fix including parts and labor of $6,500-7,000. Took my car taken to a nearby garage and the TOTAL bill was $450! After talking to other people, I have heard the same type of stories. A large part of the cliental for service work at Earnhardt’s is older people and I wonder how many of these people have been taken advantage of!

Our 2008 Honda with 40 thousand miles was repaired there because we trusted them, after all they are a blue ribbon 5 star shop,right, after they repaired it,the car was not right so we had it checked out, Nationwide then totaled the car because it would cost to much to repair the car right, because of the bad work that Dale Earnhardt did on it. The body shop does not do quailty work. BEWARE OF THIS BODY SHOP!!!!!!

Don't waste all day at one of those mega dealerships. I test drove two cars, by the time I returned to the dealership Rick had two sets of numbers ready. I left this dealership and went to a larger one in Hickory. Thank goodness I went to Dale Earnhardt first. The numbers for the same car were $2000.00 more. Give these guys a chance before you purchase a new car. Stay away from those big box dealerships with the same old line,"what is it going to take to earn your business".

Without a doubt the best experience of car buying. Made everything so easy. First time car buying from a dealership and it went without 1 issue. So fortunate to have chosen Dale Earnhardt Chevy for my vehicle.
